To monitor ISDN30, ISDN2 or POTS/Analogue telephone lines, it's necessary to install hardware equipment to physically tap into the line.
The hardware that you deploy depends on where your telephone lines are located. Ask yourself:
One PC requires one instance of the Echo software, which is responsible for managing the attached hardware device(s).
A single instance of Echo can manage multiple devices of the same type or multiple devices of different types.
Echo consists of the device drivers to control the underlying hardware and, running as a Windows Service, provides a software interface for your existing installation of TIM Plus or TIM Enterprise call logging software.
No recording hardware is required for VOIP Recording. Instead we use Echo SIP, which is a software only solution. To collect call audio information it must be installed on a computer that has an additional network card connected to a mirrored port on a local managed network switch.
The primary network card must have its IP configuration setup so it is visible on the data LAN. This allows playback of recordings by authorised users of the system, as well as remote control (such as Remote Desktop) of the Echo server if required.
The secondary network card must have its IP configuration setup so it is visible on the SIP/telephone network. This will allow it to have mirrored traffic sent to it for monitoring and recording by the Echo server.
The voice recording hardware is available in various form factors. This allows you to address deployments of varying sizes and also address the physical architecture of the PC you want to use.
The following form factors are available:
